Since Aza is friend with Davis (his son), Aza’s best friend wants to take advantage of that relationship and find out what happened to David’s Dad so they can win the money. The police asked for a reward of 100,000$ to find the fugitive. It also happens that one of her friends, Davis Pickett, has a dad who is a multibillionaire business shady man just disappeared. But as we read the book, we learn that Aza suffers from an Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. John Green wants to incorporate a detective story in there with the main character Aza as the lead “detective” and her best friend as her sidekick. The event was previously kept secret but has now been revealed to the public. Starting today, it'll be the site of one of the most important events over the course of the global war currently sweeping the world. Here in late November 1943, the city is in a heightened state of commotion. It's a broad avenue, a central thoroughfare through the bustling city of Tehran, the capital of Iran. In the hot, dry air they're using their weapons and bodies to block the noisy crowds who're trying to push through to get a look at what's happening-or rather, who's coming. He also got to hear about same news from nearby districts as well. In one of those conversations, the protagonist, an unnamed scientist, gets to hear the rumor about turret clocks in their district to have sped up, chiming earlier than they were supposed to. Just as lungs are passed between persons and districts, so are news and gossip. They derive shared pleasure through this communal activity of replacing lungs. He dedicates the second half of the song to them. In the new video, about halfway through, Raffi mentions that in the 40 years since the song’s release, there have been millions of “Beluga Grads” who ended up singing “Baby Beluga” to their own kids. Raffi’s music is there for kids in quarantine, it’s there for kids who aren’t sure if they like apples or bananas, and, most of all, it’s there for parents. He’s also had an amazing partnership with Greta Thunberg, and he’s even written a song in her honor. Today, he still fights injustice, racism, and fascism through his thoughtful and wonderful music. Raffi began his music career as a protest singer, modeling himself on Woody Guthrie. Canadian-born and of Armenian descent, his success in the children’s music industry is a happy story that continues to inspire. Raffi Cavoukian also continues to be a fantastic idol for children and parents. Baby Beluga is also, thankfully, genderless, meaning it’s easy to get behind this song without confusing your kid. Only a complete monster (or someone who doesn’t have kids, which is fine, btw) would hate this video, a celebration of a sea animal that is loved by its parents. |
